Denis Talár

Strategic and creative designer currently exploring service design and collaborative techniques on an exchange at Aalto University. Previously designed in-car applications for Škoda Auto.

I’m learn fast and work hard. My aspiration is to change the world for better by finding the balance between focusing on people, society, environment and business.

I always enjoyed solving challenge through creativity. As a kid, I was designing my own toys and games for my friends. Later I moved on to raising awareness about different issues through photography and design. My strong analytical skills lead me to study software engineering, however, I found myself more at home as a UX designer. Over the years of work practice, I realized I am up for more complex and strategic challenges on the intersection of business and design, leading me to focus on designing for services.

My profound interests include energy, mobility, infrastructure, culture, heritage, social issues and sustainability.

Music is my passion. Singing, playing the ukulele, guitar, and piano, which I’ve learned to play for seven years at an art school.

With all humility, in truth, I always excelled at school and in various competitions. My biggest achievement was graduating with a bachelor’s degree with honors, which was very difficult, and I didn’t even expect to do so.

I love both film and digital photography and focus on events and portraits.

Just me in the middle of the ocean. Go on, read about other photos.

Me in the ocean.

In my beautiful home of Slovakia. I always need to be active by hiking, running, swimming… but I suck at sports games.

Like every young person, I also enjoy traveling. This photo comes from my trip around California, where I visited my sister’s friends and host family.

“Next program starts at 2 pm!”
I volunteered for six years at a local church, organizing hundreds of youth events and five summer camps. My biggest responsibilities were being a technical director, designer, and photographer.
